ROKS Tokdo (LPH-6111) is the leading Dokdo -class amphibious assault ship from the Navy of the Republic of Korea. It was launched on July 12, 2005 at Hanjin Heavy Industries & Co. of buildings in Busan. Dokdo is currently the flagship and largest vessel of the South Korean Navy. Previously, this title was held by the support vessel ROKS Cheonji weighing 9,000 tons at sea Underway Replenishment (UNREP).

Tokdo measures 199 m in length and 31 m in width. The ship's draft is 7 m deep and at full discharge Tokdo pushes out 18,800 tons of water. The drive is provided by 4 SEMT Pielstick diesel engines, thanks to which the ship can sail at a speed of 43 km / h.

Tokdo is relatively weakly armed. Installed here are 2 anti-aircraft cannons caliber 30 mm and 1 rocket launcher RIM-116. However, it can carry 15 Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopters or 10 Sikorsky SH-60 Seahawk helicopters. Tokdo is equipped with 6 main battle tanks, 200 vehicles and 2 Landing Craft Air Cushion (LCAC) for ground invasions.
