Plastic model and instructions.
Plastic model Zvezda 6160 - Soviet tank T-34/85 in 1: 100 scale. The kit contains 12 pieces, length 80 mm, difficulty 4.
The models of the Zvezda series of the Snap Kit series are intended mainly for beginning builders. Individual plastic pieces need to be cut from the moldings with a knife or snapped out with pliers. The plastic pieces are designed so that they can snap together and thus hold together. We definitely recommend gluing the individual pieces together after clicking to increase the strength of the models, eg with Revell Contacta Professional glue.
The assembled model must then be painted with enamel (synthetic) or acrylic paints on plastic models.
Template information:
Tank T-34/85 was the second major version of the T-34, the most famous Soviet tank of the Great Patriotic War. As early as the beginning of 1943, it was clear to the Soviets that Germany had a new heavy tank with which the T-34/76 could not cope. After they managed to capture the Tiger tank and perform tests with it, it was indisputable that it was necessary to improve the technical parameters of the T-34 tank, both by strengthening the armament and in terms of passive protection. The Soviets soon found a relatively simple and technically undemanding solution when they placed a modified KV-85 heavy tank turret on the chassis of the existing T-34/76 tank. At the end of 1943, the first 300 T-34/85 tanks were produced.
