Plastic model, prints and instructions.
Plastic model Zvezda 6141 - Soviet heavy tank KV-1 in 1: 100 scale. The kit contains 6 pieces, length 68 mm, difficulty 2.
The models of the Zvezda series of the Snap Kit series are intended mainly for beginning builders. Individual plastic pieces need to be cut from the moldings with a knife or snapped out with pliers. The plastic pieces are designed so that they can snap together and thus hold together. We definitely recommend gluing the individual pieces together after clicking to increase the strength of the models, eg with Revell Contacta Professional glue.
The assembled model must then be painted with enamel (synthetic) or acrylic paints on plastic models.
Template information:
Heavy tank KV-1 (Klim Voroshilov) was developed in 1939 at the Kirov plant by Joseph Yakovlevich Kotin. The tank proved to be excellent in the winter war and was immediately put into production. He had very strong armor, a 76 mm cannon and a V-2 diesel engine. The tank proved to be very tough, it happened that after the battle on its armor there were up to 150 hits, but not a single penetration of armor. The Germans called the tank a ghost for their resilience. On August 19, the crew of Zinova Kolobanov destroyed 22 German tanks in one battle, while the Germans were unable to launch any KV, after the battle the Soviet tankers counted 156 hits and none of them penetrated the armor of the tank.
