Plastic model, figures and instructions.
Plastic model Zvezda 6170 - anti-aircraft gun Bofors 40 mm Mk-2 AA with a British crew in 1:72 scale. The kit contains 57 pieces, length 95 mm, difficulty 3.
The models of the Zvezda series of the Snap Kit series are intended mainly for beginning builders. Individual plastic pieces need to be cut from the moldings with a knife or snapped out with pliers. The plastic pieces are designed so that they can snap together and thus hold together. We definitely recommend gluing the individual pieces together after clicking to increase the strength of the models, eg with Revell Contacta Professional glue.
The assembled model must then be painted with enamel (synthetic) or acrylic paints on plastic models.
Information about the template:
The weapon was developed by the Swedish company "Bofors" in 1932. The anti-aircraft weapon was developed for the needs of the fleet, but very quickly received excellent reviews and became the basis of air defense in many countries around the world. From 1936, the weapon also began to be manufactured in the USA. 5399 of these weapons were delivered to the USSR through Lend-Lease. The anti-aircraft weapon turned out to be so successful that it was in service in a number of countries until the 1980s. It was these anti-aircraft guns, together with the pilots of the Royal Air Force, that did not allow them to wipe London from the face of the earth and win air battles for Britain again and again.
