The Northrop F-89 Scorpion was an American jet fighter for all-weather operations. It was the first aircraft to be armed with a nuclear weapon designed for aerial combat, which was the Douglas AIR-2 Genie nuclear-tipped missile.

Several versions were gradually developed. First prototype XP-89, F-89A, F-89B, F-89C, F-89D, F-89E, F-89F and F-89G, F-89H, F-89J.
