The Eurocopter Tiger is a twin-engine light combat helicopter developed by the European manufacturer Eurocopter. The manufacturer designates the helicopter as EC665. The development of the helicopter began during the Cold War with the goal of obtaining a specialized anti-tank helicopter. The first flight of the helicopter took place in 1991.
