The German army uses one of the most modern combat helicopters currently available with the UHT-Tiger, which, thanks to its diverse armaments and electronics, is able to cover a wide range of missions, from armed escort to combat support. The army celebrated the 15th anniversary of the helicopter with a special paint that depicts a large cat on the fuselage.

The construction of the helicopter is very modern, the machine has a glass cockpit and 80% of its construction is made of composite materials. The use of materials was chosen due to longer life and up to a third higher durability. Despite this, the helicopter, unlike competing machines, is only lightly armored. Normally, the helicopter can withstand firing up to 7.62 mm caliber, critical parts of the machine have additional armor with a resistance of up to 23 mm.
