The kit faithfully reproduces the iconic Citroen 2 CV, which memorably appeared in the twelfth James Bond film "On a Deadly Mission".

The 2CV was first introduced to the public in 1948. In the form of this purist, economical small car, which was also low-maintenance and easy to drive, Citroën offered a durable, mass-produced people's vehicle that also had relatively good wheel suspension suitable for driving on the then sparsely constructed road network. From 1981, when the 2CV was already a cult object, a two-tone version, the red and black 2CV 6 Charleston, was launched, followed in September 1982 by a yellow and black version. Both were equipped with an air-cooled two-cylinder boxer engine with a volume of 0.6 liters and an output of 29 horsepower.

In 1981, the yellow 2CV6 was driven by James Bond (Roger Moore) in the film For Your Eyes Only. The car in the film was equipped with a flat-four engine from the Citroën GS, which more than doubled the power. In one scene, the ultralight 2CV flips over and is quickly leveled by hand. Citroën launched a special edition 2CV "007" to coincide with the film, fitted with a standard engine and painted yellow with "007" on the front doors and fake bullet hole decals.
