Template information:

The Boeing F / A-18E / F Super Hornet is a medium-range fighter-bomber. The structure is made of large aluminum alloys (31%), carbon composites (19%) and titanium alloys (21%). The first two-seat prototype F / A-18F1 was flown on April 1, 1996.

The Super Hornet is powered by two General Electric F414-GE-400 twin-jet engines with additional combustion. The combat range of the F / A-18E / F is 722 km, but the aircraft can carry 3 additional fuel tanks, which extends the range to 3,330 km. The climb of the Super Hornet is 228 m / s and the maximum reach is 15,000 m.

The F / A-18E / F can destroy targets at short distances using a 20-mm M61A2 Vulcan six-barreled cannon. The Super Hornet can carry 4 Sidewinder anti-aircraft missiles in the AIM-9M and AIM-9X versions. It is equipped with AMRAAM missiles for air combat outside of visual contact. In addition to older versions, they are also represented by the most modern AIM-120D, which has a range of more than 180 km.
