The KTM RC16 is a prototype Grand Prix racing motorcycle that KTM has developed for racing in the MotoGP series since the 2017 season. Representing the brand's MotoGP teams for 2021 were racers Brad Binder and Miguel Oliviera, who were part of the Red Bull KTM Factory Racing team, racers Danilo Petrucci with partner Iker Lecuona in the Red Bull KTM Tech3 team. The modernized RC16 features a hybrid chassis design (combining elements of a double beam and trellis frame design) made from steel and a carbon fiber swingarm. The engine is a 265 hp (198 kW) four-stroke V4.
Binder, along with KTM, had a tough start to the 2021 season. Nevertheless, he maintained top ten positions and finished in the top 5 four times, with two 5th places at Portimao and Mugello and two 4th places at Sachsenring and Assen.
