Information about the template:

The White Motor Company began study and development of the M3 in 1938 to provide the United States Army with an armored reconnaissance vehicle. Equipped with a 110 HP Hercules JXD 6-cylinder gasoline engine, it reached a maximum speed of 81 km/h. Equipped with four-wheel drive, it was used for patrol, reconnaissance and command tasks. The vehicle could carry a crew of 8 and was armed with one M2 12.7mm Browning machine gun and 2 additional 7.7mm Brownings on the sides. It was first used during the Philippine campaign in 1941. Used in North Africa and Sicily, it was replaced during the war for advanced reconnaissance tasks by the more modern M8 Greyhound. In addition to the American army, it was also used by the British armed forces.
