Information about the template:

The US Sikorsky Company, which was at the forefront of world helicopter design and development in the post-war era. It won an important contract in 1957 to produce an amphibious all-weather helicopter for the United States Navy. Anti-submarine warplane, protecting the American fleet from possible attack. The aircraft proved adaptable enough to take on a number of secondary roles and become one of the truly great aircraft of the 20th century.

The aircraft, which was designated the SH-3 Sea King, was made with an amphibious hull that allowed it to land on water. Powered by a twin turboshaft engine arrangement, the Sea King was a formidable machine, capable of carrying significant numbers of men, equipment or general supplies.

The first Sea King HAS.1 built by Westland took off from their factory facility in Yeovil on 7 May 1969, with the first Royal Navy machines being delivered to 700 Naval Air Squadron (OEU) at RNAS Yeovilton later that year. As the Sea King established itself in Royal Naval service, it quickly proved itself operationally capable and highly adaptable, and was destined for a long and illustrious career not only with the Fleet Air Arm but also with the Royal Air Force.

He excelled in all the roles assigned to him. They were used as search and rescue helicopters, making them some of the most popular aircraft in British military service and undoubtedly one of the most successful aircraft of the post-war era.
