Speedtail is a three-seater flash sports car from the British manufacturer McLaren Automotive. It was presented to the public for the first time on October 26, 2018. The vehicle has a hybrid drive with a 4.0 V8 twin-turbo engine that drives only the rear axle via a two-clutch gearbox. In conjunction with the electric motor, it was supposed to have a system output of up to 787 kW. According to McLaren, the vehicle should reach a maximum speed of up to 403 km/h.

Speedtail has a cigar shape typical of cars built for speed records (sophisticated aerodynamics). The goal was the same – to minimize aerodynamic resistance, which is why it has covered front wheels, a huge diffuser following the aerodynamic covering of the chassis. It has no exterior mirrors (it has pop-up cameras instead) and no big rear wing (it's fine with small flaps) to slow it down.

McLaren built just 106 examples of the Speedtail, a number referring to the number of F1 pieces produced. The first pieces were handed over to customers in 2020.
