Plastic model and instructions.
Plastic model Zvezda 6502 - Spanish ship San Martin in 1: 350 scale. The kit contains 53 pieces, length 158 mm, difficulty 3.
The models of the Zvezda series of the Snap Kit series are intended mainly for beginning builders. Individual plastic pieces need to be cut from the moldings with a knife or snapped out with pliers. The plastic pieces are designed so that they can snap together and thus hold together. We definitely recommend gluing the individual pieces together after clicking to increase the strength of the models, eg with Revell Contacta Professional glue.
The assembled model must then be painted with enamel (synthetic) or acrylic paints on plastic models.
Template information:
The galleon was a merchant or war sailboat used in the 16th to 18th centuries. It was structurally based on karak.
The galleon was 40-70 meters long and its width was 1/3 the length. It was a large and heavy vessel with high sides and great load capacity. The carrying capacity was up to 1200 tons. Unlike the karaka, the galleon's stern ended dullly in the so-called mirror. There was a lower deck superstructure on the bow and a novelty was a long and strong clown (gallon). Hence the name galleon.
