Plastic model and instructions.
Plastic model Zvezda 6251 - tank Panzer IV Ausf.H in scale 1: 100. The kit contains 9 pieces, length 70 mm, difficulty 2.
The models of the Zvezda series of the Snap Kit series are intended mainly for beginning builders. Individual plastic pieces need to be cut from the moldings with a knife or snapped out with pliers. The plastic pieces are designed so that they can snap together and thus hold together. We definitely recommend gluing the individual pieces together after clicking to increase the strength of the models, eg with Revell Contacta Professional glue.
The assembled model must then be painted with enamel (synthetic) or acrylic paints on plastic models.
Template information:
Panzerkampfwagen IV (also known as SdKfz 161, PzKpfw IV) was a medium tank developed since 1933 in Germany as a medium tank designed to support infantry. The first prototypes were created at the turn of 1935 and 1936. The tank was used throughout World War II and with 8,000 pieces produced represented a whole one-third of German tank production. Pz IV was designed to support the attacking infantry, while Pz III was designed to combat the enemy's armored vehicles. His main weapon was a short 75 mm cannon (7.5 cm KwK 37 L / 24), which was not exactly ideal for combat with the enemy's armored vehicles. Pz IV Ausf. H is generally considered the final model not only in terms of performance but also in terms of the number of pieces produced. The tank is sharply divided into initial, middle and late production series. The armament consisted of a KwK40 L / 48 cannon and two MG 34 machine guns caliber 7.92 mm. Thin steel sheets known as "Schürzen" (skirts) were introduced on the Ausf. G, and after her Ausf. H. The drive was provided by the Maybach HL120TRM engine in cooperation with the SSG-77 gearbox. Thanks to reinforced armor and a larger stockpile of ammunition, the weight increased by 1.5 tons, which resulted in a reduction of the maximum speed to 38 km / h. Ausf.H was mass-produced from April 1943 to July 1944.
