This Jaguar 100th Anniversary Collector's Edition features model kits of two iconic cars. Only 17 examples of the D-Type racing car could be converted into the street-legal XK-SS sports car before the fire in the factory halls. Even more famous is the E-Type introduced in 1961 with its extremely long bonnet and breathtaking performance.

Information about the template:

The Jaguar D-Type, introduced in 1954, was a racing car produced by the British car manufacturer Jaguar Cars. It followed up on the numerous successes of its predecessor, the C-type model, notably by winning the famous 24 Hours of Le Mans race (1955, 1956 and 1957). By 1957, 71 examples were produced.

The car was powered by the famous in-line six-cylinder XK with a volume of 3,442 cm3, which was already used by its predecessor and most other serial models of the brand. The compression ratio was increased to 9:1 and the pair of SU carburetors were replaced by a trio of Weber carburetors. The engine modified in this way produced 245 horsepower (183 kW) and a maximum speed of up to 280 km/h.

In 1964 the Jaguar E-Type received several important upgrades including a 4.2 liter version of the famous XK engine, the newer model produced 255bhp at 5400rpm up from 5500. The cooling system was redesigned to the overall size of the engine was maintained. The exterior of the 4.2 features single-sided cast exhaust pipes. Other upgrades include a new alternator/generator and an electric cooling fan for the radiator. The interior has also redone the seats and removed aluminum panels in the center console, radio, alternative gear ratios, chrome wires, tinted glass and whitewall tires.
