The Yamaha XV1600A is a cruiser-style motorcycle. It is also called Yamaha Road Star or in Europe Yamaha Wild Star. It was produced from 1999 until the 2014 model year, when the Roadstar model line was discontinued.
The Road Star Silverado had the designation XV1600AT and was produced from 1999-2005. The 1999-2003 models had the same naturally aspirated 1602cc engines. In 2004, they changed the displacement to 1,670 cc. 2004 also saw several design changes, including new tubeless aluminum wheels, a thinner drive belt and a different engine cover color. The Road Star has a sleeker, sportier sibling called the Yamaha Road Star Warrior, which has a fuel-injected 1700cc engine and an all-aluminum chassis. The Road Star remained unchanged until 2008 when electronic fuel injection was introduced to the bike. There were variants of the Road Star with different equipment and equipment packages. The Road Star was available with the Silverdo equipment package, which included studded saddlebags, a backrest, studded driver and passenger seats, and a cruiser-style windshield. Silverado package renamed Midnight package with blacked out engine etc.
