The Shelby Mustang is a high-performance variant of the Ford Mustang produced by Shelby American from 1965 to 1967 and Ford Motor Company from 1968 to 1970. In 2005, Ford revived the Shelby nameplate for the high-performance fifth-generation Ford Mustang.
The 2020 GT500 was unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January 2019. It is powered by a hand-built 5.2-liter "Preator" aluminum alloy V8 engine with a 2.65-liter root supercharger. The Shelby GT500 produces 760 hp (567 kW). However, it will not arrive in the European market due to the 5.2-liter V8 engine, which does not comply with European road regulations, so it will only focus on North America and the Middle East countries.
Its top speed is 195 mph (314 km/h), but is limited to 180 mph (290 km/h) in America. Michelin PS4S tires are upgraded to Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 with GT500 Carbon Fiber Track Pack.
