Conceptually, the Z900 RS is based on the classic Z900, although at first glance one would say that it is perhaps impossible for the two motorcycles to be less similar. The design of the Z900 RS has beautiful rounded shapes that refer in detail to the original Kawasaki Z1, there is a classic round light, a long and wide seat for two or a couple of simple alarm clocks in front of the wide handlebars. Aluminum frame parts have been replaced to better fit the traditional design, the 948cc inline-four has new side covers and even fake cooling fins on the sides. The exhaust, swingarm, tank are new... So the RS only has 111 hp compared to 125 hp, but the maximum power, as well as 98.5 N.m of torque, are set significantly lower.
