Information about the template:
For the 2010 model year, Harley-Davidson introduced the XL1200X "Forty-Eight". Similar in style to the "Dark" Nightster, but with the classic 1948 style small peanut tank.
The 2018 Forty-Eight Special is clearly distinguished by a new graphic on the fuel tank, which boasts a bold combination of color stripes with symbols that were in vogue in the seventies. The model's robust front end features a 130mm wide front tire framed by 49mm forks seated in massive triple aluminum glasses. It looks particularly confident when complemented by tall black Tallboy handlebars, which were chosen for their special shape. They allow for less rearward lean than the Mini-Ape handlebars, resulting in a look that works well with the robust front end styling and smaller fuel tank of the Forty-Eight Special.
The Evolution 1200 engine has a black top, followed by an influx of shiny chrome, including chrome transmission and clutch covers and chrome mufflers and exhaust covers. Chrome lower rocker covers, timing tubes and cam covers contrast with the black cylinders and accentuate the shapes of the V-Twin engine. Black nine-spoke alloy wheels are shod with Michelin Scorcher 31 tires (16 inches front and rear). Part of the standard equipment of the Forty-Eight Special model is the Harley-Davidson Smart Security System and the ABS brake system.
