The sixth generation Mustang was unveiled on December 5, 2013. In June 2015, 1 million Mustangs (2005 to 2011) and GTs (2005 to 2006) were affected by an airbag recall made by Takata Corporation. It comes after Takata announced it was recalling 33.8 million vehicles in the US for airbags that could explode and send pieces of metal flying at drivers and passengers.
