The Ducati Desmosedici GP22 has a four-stroke, liquid-cooled V4 90°, Desmodromic DOHC, four valves per cylinder, 1000 cc engine. The Desmodromic V4 produces more than 250 horsepower with a top speed of up to 350 km/h. The engine is mated to a Ducati seamless transmission. The fogging system uses indirect electronic injection, the exhaust system uses an Akrapovic exhaust. The Ducati Desmosedici GP22 uses Marchesini magnesium alloy rims The rims are shod with 17-inch Michelin tires at the front and rear. For stopping power, there are Brembo brakes up front with two 340mm carbon discs clamped by four-piston calipers. Additionally, there is a single stainless steel disc brake with a two-piston caliper at the rear. The Ducati Desmosedici GP22 uses a double beam aluminum alloy frame. Up front is Ohlins inverted suspension with a carbon outer tube, Ohlins shock at the rear too. Ohlins suspension can be adjusted for preload and damping.
