3. In December 2007, Chrysler showed off the 3rd generation Dodge Challenger, which debuted on February 6, 2008, simultaneously at the Chicago Auto Show and the Philadelphia International Auto Show. The 3rd generation was a two-door (2-passenger) coupe that shared common design elements with the first-generation Challenger, despite being significantly longer and taller.
All 7119 models were SRT2008 equipped with the 6.1 L Hemi V8 engine and 8-speed AutoStick automatic transmission. Chrysler of Mexico only offered 100 SRT8s with the 425 hp (317 kW) 1.8-liter V6 engine.
