Information about the template:
The Chevrolet Camaro is an American mid-size automobile produced by Chevrolet, classified as a pony car.
The second generation Camaro, nicknamed the "Super Hugger", was an all-new car with a basic layout. It is familiar and constructed similarly to its predecessor with a unibody using a front subframe, A-arm and coil spring front suspension, and rear leaf springs.
The Camaro from 1971 under the designation Z/28 received only minor changes in appearance from its counterpart from 1970. The biggest changes came under the hood, due to GM's corporate mandate. All engines were designed to run on low-octane, low-lead or unleaded gasoline, which necessitated a reduction in compression ratios and power ratings. The 250 cu in (4.1 L) inline-six, 307 cu in (5.0 L) V8 and twin-barrel 350 cu in (5.7 L) V8 were virtually unchanged since they were regular fuel engines with low compression.
The 350 ci engine in the 1971 Camaro Z28 produced 275 hp (205 kW). 396 (402 ci) V8 dropped from 350 to 300 hp (220 kW). The 402 ci engine in the 1971 Camaro SS 396 produced 260 hp (190 kW) pure SAE.
Road & Track ranked the 1971 SS350 among the 10 best cars in the world in August 1971.
