The Douglas A-4 Skyhawk was developed in the 1950s and was one of the most popular and popular light attack aircraft in aviation history. Its small and compact size made it highly maneuverable and ideal for use on aircraft carriers. It featured a simple design with characteristic low delta wings and small side air intakes, but extremely functional for operational use. With the adoption of the Pratt & Whitney J52 jet engine, the Skyhawk could reach a speed of 1,170 km/h. Armed with two 20 mm cannons, it could carry a lethal attack load consisting of air-to-air missiles, air-to-surface missiles, rockets and free-fall bombs. Due to its operational characteristics, the A-4 was a considerable commercial success.
