The F430 GTC, built since 2006 by Ferrari Corse Clienti in collaboration with Michelotto Automobili, is a race car designed to compete in international GT2 class competitions, such as the American Le Mans Series, Le Mans Series and FIA GT Championship. The F430 GTC also competes in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The GTC was the fastest and most advanced racing version of the F430.
In the FIA GT2 Championship, cars are forced to drive with a specific minimum weight and with an engine limiter that depends on engine displacement to make the car's performance more even. That's why Ferrari destroyed the 4.3L V8 to 4.0L engine to race in the 3.8-4.0L class in the GT2 class. In this racing configuration, the engine produces slightly less energy 445 hp (327 kW).
The F430 GTC has won its ALMS and FIA GT class championships, as well as winning the class at the 2007, 2009 and 2010 12 Hours of Sebring, the 2008 and 2009 24 Hours of Le Mans and the 2008 and 2009 Petit Le Mans.
