In 2011, Ferrari introduced the GT3 version of the Ferrari 458 Italia. The car is slightly lighter and more powerful than the GT2 version, producing a power approaching 558 hp (410 kW). The engine works similarly to a road car than the GT2 version. The aerodynamics of the car also differ slightly due to different aviation regulations.
The 458 Italia GT3 holds the record for the number of titles won at many international championships. In 2015, the 458 Italia GT3 competed in a number of racing series, including the Blancpain Endurance Series, the European Le Mans Series, the International GT Open, the GT3 Asia, the Pirelli World Challenge, the Blancpain Sprint Series, the Asian Le Mans Series, the Australian GT Championship and many other national GT3 Championship.
