Porsche at the Goodwood Festival of Speed in 2019 introduced a new generation of the 911 RSR GTE racing special. He was shown in all major motorsport competitions and especially in the FIA WEC championship and races such as 24 h Daytona and 24 h Le Mans. Porsche has deployed the 911 RSR GTE in the GTE Pro and GTE Am categories, as well as in the US GTLM.
Technically, the model builds on the previous version and, unlike the 911 road, the engine is moved in front of the rear axle, so it is technically taken in the middle. The car remains an atmospheric flat six-cylinder, but has a volume of 4.2 liters. Power is 515 hp, but this could be limited by the size of the restrictor due to BoP (Balance of Performance rules to ensure the balance of the starting field with different cars of different designs). The transmission is a six-speed sequential.
