The Porsche 918 Spyder was first introduced as a concept at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2010. The Porsche 918 Spyder is based on a carbon-fiber reinforced plastic (CFRP) shell complemented by aluminum and magnesium. The standard 918 Spyder is a super-sport, but like most Porsche cars, it should be much more usable in normal operation compared to its direct competition. It is powered by an eight-cylinder with a capacity of 4.6 liters and an output of 608 hp (453 kW). The car is a hybrid, so electric motors add another 279 hp (208 kW). The combined power of all engines in the car is then 661 kW (887 hp).
