The Ferrari 250 GT Berlinetta was introduced in 1959 at the Paris Motor Show in an abbreviated version of the SWB, whose sleek and non-aggressive body was designed by Pinin Farina. The body of the tubular frame was longitudinally fitted with a redesigned three-liter forked twelve-cylinder with an output of 280 hp.
The 250 GT SWB excelled in a great balance of driving characteristics, exceptional traction, great braking effect and embodied Enzo Ferrari's idea of an affordable truck with which the client can drive on the road during the week and compete successfully on circuits on weekends.
